Do the pedicure yourself

Step 1: Prepare a foot bath with bath salts and a few drops of essential oils. This makes the cornea and nails softer and the subsequent pedicure easier to treat. The footbath should take between 15 and 20 minutes. Nail polish should be removed in advance.

Step 2: Treat the cornea by the heels and exfoliate the dead cells. However, this must not be too grainy, otherwise it can lead to injuries. Gently massage in the scrub with circular movements and then wash in the foot bath. For harder corneas, you can also apply a pumice or foot-skin arrows, but also apply great pressure.

Tip: If you exfoliate your feet twice a week (wet or dry), corneal rasps will be completely eliminated.

Step 3: Now it’s time for the nails. Cut the nails with a clippers and then file them into shape. The important thing here is not to cut the nails too short and to stick to the natural nail shape. Then apply a cuticle remover and massage around. Carefully push the cuticle back with a wooden stick and remove loose skin.

Step 4: Now we come to painting. The colors and designs are up to your imagination, but we give you plenty of ideas for them. It is always important to apply a base, as this prevents nail staining. Finally, apply a Toplack and go through the nail tip with it. This keeps the nail polish longer.

Tip: Thorough foot care should be performed every three to four weeks. The nail polish should be removed every two weeks, the nails are totally dry and the color discolours them. The overpainting you should rather not do.

Step 5: If the nail polish is slightly dry, cream your feet with a foot cream. This makes the feet softer and smoother. This step can also be done before painting, but then the nail bed must be degreased by the cream. You can do this by using a cotton pad and nail polish remover to go down the nail.

The pedicure at home you should rather leave, if you have skin problems, nail fungus or ingrown nails. Here you should better go to a specialist list.
